89 Chevy S-10 2.5L. I have been having idle problems and can't figure out the problem. I replaced EGR valve but wasn't sure what washer # to put in. I put in #26 please advise. In addition, changed plugs, thermostat, checked all vaccum lines and replaced as necessary. New PCV valve. O2 sensor and fuel filter. When I start it, it starts cold no matter the weather. Idles very high and sometimes runs normal after 5 min, and sometimes idles so low it won't stay running without throttle. The Service engine soon line is intermittent. Please help if you can.

Thanks

Try cleaning the throttle body out with throttle body cleaner. There would be a possibilty that some carbon could have built up inside
