1991 Chevy S-10 rear axle housing

Is the axle housing the same for a 308 and 342 gear ratio even though the gears are different?

Hi:

After looking at my information, I can't see a difference. Just make sure everything fits properly when building it. Also, if the truck is a 4x4, both front and rear need replaced. They have to be the same ratio.
