1989 Chevy S-10 EGR valve

I have'nt run my truck in a few weeks, When I started it up it ran rough, The EGR valve was hung up, pulled the vaccum hose, plug the line, now it's running ok, the EGR valve seems to be working, Any ideas whats going on?

Sounds like the EGR is getting vacuum when not suppose to at idle its cracking the valve open and diluting the A/F mix casuing it to run rough-Try cleaning it out and also check if the Vacuum switching valve/thermal vacuum switch are functioning correctly.

Stick a vacumm gauge on the vac hose if you getting vacuum, you have found your problem
