I have'nt run my truck in a few weeks, When I started it up it ran rough, The EGR valve was hung up, pulled the vaccum hose, plug the line, now it's running ok, the EGR valve seems to be working, Any ideas whats going on?

Hi ramzga, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation and selecting us as your auto repair site Feel free to ask questions at anytime and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2010

Sounds like the EGR is getting vacuum when not suppose to at idle its cracking the valve open and diluting the A/F mix casuing it to run rough-Try cleaning it out and also check if the Vacuum switching valve/thermal vacuum switch are functioning correctly.

Stick a vacumm gauge on the vac hose if you getting vacuum, you have found your problem
