1989 Chevy S-10 carburetor

If I put gasoline directly into the carb the engine will start and run until that gas is used up. I have taken the fuel line loose at the carb and fuel is getting to that point fine. What is preventing the fuel from getting into the carb?

You have fuel injection that is a throttle body injection.The first thing i would do is rent a fuel pressure tester and a noid light to check for injection pluse's from the computer.I know they rent fuel pressure tester's at auto zone see if they have a noid light.You have fuel to the throttle body but it might not be enough pressure to start and run.

It does not have a throttle body/fuel injection. It is just a carb. Fuel pressure is fine.

I only show fuel injection for the 1989 chevy s-10. Do you have a none usa model because mitchell on demand only shows fuel injection that year or did you take the fuel injection off and put a carb on it?If you have good fuel pressure to the carb but it's not getting fuel in there then you have a stuck float not allowing fuel in there or a bad carb.
