2002 Chevy Prizm Air conditioning compressor

2002 Chevy Prizm 4 cyl Manual 80000 miles

My AC stopped working about two weeks ago (the compressor was not coming on ), but after a few minutes, I tried it again and it worked.

It stopped again yesterday morning, but worked later that afternoon. I could hear the compreressor making noise when I turned it on. Does this sound like the compressor is shot? I replaced it about 5 years ago.
