I was wondering if you guys could give me a little help I have a 2000 chevy prizm and when I bought the care the shift of it was fine you had to push the button in to move in out of park and into drive and stuff well all of a sudden on day it quit working and now everytime I try to turn my car all the way off I cant because it wont turn all the way back to lock it stays on acc. Now I think there is like a reset buttom but that isnt working either, do you think maybe it could be a wire?

What you are talking about would be the park / neutral safety switch. that is most likely what has failed and it is located on the trasaxle, just below the battery. follow our link below to learn how to test it prior to replacing it..
