1955 chevy bel air 265 v-8 4brl. I replaced the gas tank and sending unit and new gas line. Rebuilt the carb. The car will idle good for a long time but if I take it down the road it will stall. I disconected the gas line from the carb and no gas would pump out. I tested the pressure and it was 2.5 lbs. And the sucksion was 7-10 lbs is the pump bad? Also the gas line from the pump to carb is 1/4"

The fuel pump should pump out about a pint of gas in 30 seconds. If there is no gas pumping out the pump will be bad. Try first to back flush the system from the line comming from the pump going back to the gas tank to see if there is a clog.
