Dome light 1999 S-10

I have a 1999 chevy s10- 80000 miles- 4cyl. The dome light or the lite under the dash will not come on when either door is opened. It come on fine when I turn the knob on the lite switch though. Neither button on the doors are stuck in either. Any ideas? Thanks

Take out the switch on one of the doors. The switch activates when it is gounded making a circuit fo the interior light to go on. Ground out the wire if the light comes on it is in your door switch button
also check all the fuses.
