Hello. I have a 2001 Chevy Tracker. My wife's small gold necklace slid down the dashboard and in to the driver side defroster vent. I can look down in it with a mirror but I can't see the necklace so I guess it slid down quite a ways. Is there a duct or some access point were I can get to the necklace without removing the dashboard or is that what I will need to resort to?

I would find a small magnet and tie it to a string and send it in after the necklace before I tore into anything. I don't know for sure but I doubt there is an access port, but I would start taking things apart at the bottom just incase there happens to be a removable section near the bottom.

Try switching from defrost mode to floor several times you might be able to dislodge and drop out floor vent.
