1971 Other Chevrolet Models V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i have a 1971 chevrolet c-10 pickup truck. I just replace my spark plugs, wires, and ignition coil. I also rebuilt the carb. My engine backfires. What could the problem be?

Backfiring can be caused by a lean and rich A/F Mixture-recheck the carb and fuel pressure

Check that number 1 is in the correct spot on the dist. Also check for the correct rotation of the dist. How many miles are on the engine?
