Shakes or Wobbles problem
1968 Chevy Nova V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

When my car gets to 45mph it starts to vibrate to whole car, under 45 it is a smooth ride. It is not a shimmy but a constant vibration like if you had your hand on a vibrating sander.I have had the alingment done which did not fix problem. This car has had another rear-end and drive shaft put in.I thought maybe it has something to do with it, because the problem started after it was done.I thought maybe it might be the drive shaft or u-joints. Any ideas let me know. Thanks

If it didn't do it before the parts were replaced that would be where you would go. It's either bad u joints, the pinion in the rear end is bad ( out of round) or the driveshaft is either bent or a weight has fallen off an dis out of balance.

I agree with hmac 300, but it could also be the drive shaft is a hair too long, and is butting up against the trans tail shaft. As you go faster it could push harder and cause a vibration.
