Sometimes not every time when I accelerate from a stop I hear what sounds something like a nocking sound from the rear of the car. It sounds like something is tightening up while it happens. It is never more that three nocks each time. It seems to hapen more when it is cold and wet outside. I am thinking it may be either the tracktion control system or the antilock brack system. I have not taken it to the dealer yet because it does not happen every time. I was hopeing to get some kind of idea of what it might be before taking it to them.
Thanks for the help.

Check your rear sway bar links and shock mounts. It could be a sheet metal pop which are hard to pin point. Please let me know how it turns out.

Hi Ken, thanks for the answer. I am going to take it for it's second oil change soon and I will have them check those items. One more question for you. I am going to change to synthetic oil but want to wait until the rings are seated. Please let me know how many miles you would go before making the change. Is 7000 to soon?
Thanks again for your help.

7,000 miles is just right, change to synthetic oil then. Let me know how it goes.
