When i shift from drive to reverse i notice a very slight jump from the motor. Is this a major problem? What could it be?

Have you checked the motor mounts? Here is how to do it. Have a helper start the car, place the park brake on and hold his foot on the brake. Open the hood of the car. Have your helper place the car in reverse and apply a little throttle to load the engine while keeping the brake on to prevent the car from moving. If you have a bad mount, the engine will lift. I would say any more than an inch is excessive.

You can do the same in drive to check the opposite side mount. Let me know if you have other questions and if this helps.
