2001 Chevy Monte Carlo regarding EGR valve

I was wondering where exactly where this part might be? I did a diagnostic check and it came back as the egr valve being failed. Also is it possible to remove this and clean out the egr valve before purchasing a new one? Please get back to me at your earliest convenience.

The part will be on your intake manifold best bet would be look at a picture online at a autopart store and look for the picture.

It can be removed in clean, abe sure to install a newgasket and clean the mating surfaces properly.
