When operating, A/C blows super cold air. But, clutch intermittently disengages even though t'stat is not satisfied.

Guages indicate proper charge and suction and presssure readings are normal.

Something is causing the clutch to disengage within moments of engagement. Clutch then is again pulled in and cycle repeats. The interval between is usually a matter of seconds. Sometimes, the clutch doesn't engage at all. Sometimes it remains engaged for many minutes. I suspect a control of some type but it could be for other reasons also. Perhaps mechanical.

Any ideas?
