2000 Chevy Monte Carlo removal of power window switch

I have tried to remove the power window switch mounting in the door panel to no avail. I'm afraid that if I pry any harder I will damage the door panel. I have removed one screw.

Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement (Monte Carlo)
Removal Procedure
Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.

Remove the armrest pull cup. Refer to Armrest Pull Cup Replacement.
Remove the window switch by pressing the thumb tab retainers outward and remove the switch from the pull handle.
