1999 Chevy Monte Carlo stalling when off gas to stop or tur

Hi, my wifes 99 monte carlo is stalling when getting off the gas to stop or turn, rough idle. Has an O2 sensor code but dealership says thats probly a "false code". Car runs absolutely perfect and has a ton of power when diving or accelerating to pass. Check engine light on intermittently. 3100 engine, auto trans

What I need you to do is take the car to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan it for trouble codes. If the light has been on, I need to know what code it is bringing up.

Let me know. Also, most parts stores will scan it for free.
