I have a 1998 monte carlo with 143000 miles. I have replaced the heater core but now I am not getting any heat when running Defrost or heater. The motor is a 3.1 L V6. How would I assess the next step? Is "NEW" heater core still bad. When is the Thermostat bad. Temperature is around the 130 to 160 range.

Bleed the coolant system there is probably a air bubble in the heater core.
