1998 Chevy Monte Carlo 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My Monte carlo is miss firing. The spark plugs have been changed along with plugs and still is miss firing

Misfires are caused by lean conditions, fuel pressure, plugs and ignition failures and leaking intake gaskets check your fuel pressure first. The egr valve stuck open will do also. Should be easy to figure out.

It could also be one of your ignition coils. You should have 3 coils (2 cylinders per coil). If you can get the old ones off you might be able to have them tested at one of your local auto parts stores. Usually a new coil for a GM vehicle runs around the $25 to $30 range.
