Hey I have a 1970 monte that I purchased about 4 months ago. It has just under 14,000 original miles on the vehicle. It has been driving great up until a month ago. Every now and then when I began driving the car it would bein jerking in a constant rythmic motion, until eventually it cuts off. I then have to keep cranking it back up until I eventually get to my destination. I got a diagnostic and they said that the carb needs repair because it flooding the engine. I had a second opinion and they said that the points are almost burnt out. Side note: as of late it has been taking about 20-30 turns to crank the car up with it staying on. Plz help, What do you guys think?

Replace the ignition components, remove and vat carburator and install new kit. Also replace all vacuum lines. Sounds like you have a peach. Throw some money down on her!
