how do you realese pressure on rear brake calipers on a 97 chevy monte carlo.

There could be one of two problems. The piston could be stuck or the rubber brake hose going to it is bad. Is it only one side you are having trouble with? If so, try this. Loosten the bleeder valve on the caliper to see if that will allow the piston to depress. Let me know what you find.
