My engine is overheating. It use to only do it when I was on the freeway and went above 55-60 mph. Now its happening all the time. I pulled over when it started overheating and the radiator fan was not working. I already replaced the water pump, radiator cap and thermostat. I have also checked multiple times and the fan does not come on under any circumstances. Is there a sensor I should check before replacing the fan? A couple mechanics recomended just putting in a new fan but I would like a more experienced opinion. Thanks

I would start by replacing the fan relay. It is much cheeper and easier than replacing the whole fan. Should be able to pick one up at ur local auto parts store for $10 to $20, but I would suggest taking the old one with you to make sure you get the right one.

I replaced the thermostat, temp sensor, fan relay and still nothing. I hard wired the fan and ran it to a toggle switch. When I flip it on it still is over heating no matter how long the fan is running. I ran the black wire as a positive, maybe the fan is running backwards? But its blowing air towards the radiator. Any other suggestions besides just tossing a couple sticks of dynamite in the window and run?
