We bought this car yesterday. On the way to the gas station it started to smoke. At some point all the oil blew out. Its on the passenger side and mostky up front. We took it back to lot and the guy said it was the dip stick tube. It was loose and he put some blue seal on it and stuck it back in. On the way to the gas station it did it again. By this time lot is closed so we brought it home. We tried to get it to do it again in the yard but it wouldn't. We looked everywhere and couldn't find anything. We ordered a new tube from chevy parts and it will be here tomorrow. We will try that and see. Any ideas

The second time it happened did the dip stick tube come out again? There should be a bolt that holds the tube to the engine. Was it the dipstick itself or the tube that came out? It likely won't happen when in park as the motor has to be under load to build pressure to blow out a tube.

Hi
thank you for answering. It was the dipstick tube. It was just stuck in and the ear that the bolt went thru was broken off. It was still attached to motor. Thank goodness, I really didn't want to scrap with those guys. Thank you again
