1985 Chevy Monte Carlo oil filter not unscrewing with filte

1985 Chevy Monte Carlo V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

filter damaged and refuses to unscrew. Need ideas on how to remove.

You might drive a long shank screwdriver or something through the body of the filter, side to side. That way you have a handle to grab on each side of filter. Also, filter wrench, filter strap, pipe wrench. I guess you have to use your best judgement on what will work.
