2007 Chevy Malibu Pulse in steering wheel even when sitting

When driving or sitting the steering wheel will move slightly left and right, some times pulling you out of your lane. Im told it has electric steering motor?Is this a sensor?

Replace the steering coloumn, its caused by excessive clearance between the assist gears or by a failure of the torque sensor in the steering column. Have it scanned for codes in the power steering control module.
