2005 Chevy Malibu 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

when I turn the ignition off the headlights and radio stay on untill I remove battery cable, when I reinstall the battery cable all is fine untill car is turned on then off again then the problem is back again.

Welcome to the forum, You need to check for any codes, manufacturer specific. The headlamp switch sends a request to the bcm to turn on lamps. The bcm grounds the coil side of headlamp relay. If there is a code, it may help pinpoint the problem. I'd have to track the wiring circuit.
