2003 Chevy Malibu

My left headlight only works when I turn on the high beams. I think it may be the switch can't find any other thing it could possibly be. What is the problem, and how can I fix it?

Already put a new light bulb in, but it's still not working.

Since its just one headlight not working then you will need to inspect the wiring at the harness to the bulb. If headlamp switch was bad then neither lights would work. Since bulb is good then must be wiring issue.
