2001 Chevy Malibu 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Runs good for 15-20 minutes and at idle each time we start from cold. Mechanic had us replace catalytic converter, plugs and wires, ignition coil and module. Also replace fuel pump relay. But car still acts the same. When it happens it si like somebody has turned a switch.

Have the tech take a test drive with the car and have a diagnostic scanner hooked up to the DLC. HE can monitor the data stream and take a snap shot of what is being lost, or read codes that may disappear.
For example, P0506 is the code that will set for Idle speed incorrect. Will only set code if idle speed is less than 100 rpm less than desired idle 4 times in one ignition cycle. If the problem is intermittent, and the customer turns key off after car stalls then restarts it, the code is gone (new ignition cycle). FAulty IAC Motor.
