2000 Chevy Malibu no instrument lights when i turn key and

car is a 2000 malibu recently i've had some issues with the electrical.I recentlywent to start and the instrument lights on the dash, check engine etc don't come on and there is no chiming as well as no interior lights and the trunk won't open.Everything else works headlights,radio,horn.The car will fire up but die everytime at about 4-5 seconds.I also heard clicking coming from under the dash the night before when i went out to get something out of it clicking and the lights on the floor were flashing to the clicking.PLEASE HELP...
