Just replaced the battery and went to start it up. The gas gauge went from empty where it is to be when off all the way around to the stop peg. Worked fine before replaceing battery. I haven't disconected the battery wyet but thats next as I was in a hurry and new I had a full tank of gas. Any idears as to what might cause such a problem. If disconecting does not work I might try removing gauge cover and push it back to see what happens.

When you disconnect the battery. Disconnect both terminals and touch them togehter for about 10 seconds. You may have spiked one of the modules while replacing the battery, and sometimes this works.
