Suspension problem
1999 Chevy Malibu 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive

I have a '99 Chevy Malibu and noticed a suspension "clunk" coming from the front end when hitting bumps. I looked underneath to see what was wrong and noticed the front sta-bar was broken (rusted through) at the RH front wheel. Since I am looking to replace this car and not wanting to pump more money into it (many other things wrong), is it unsafe to continue driving for a while around town for a number of weeks until I can get a replacement vehicle? Any idea (ballpark) the cost to repair?

The sway bar is there to stabilize the front end on turns and keep it even from left to right. Saftey is and issue when your dealing with suspension parts.
Price wise depends on your shops labor rate and if you put a new or used one in there. I'd have it replaced ASAP.
