1999 Chevy Malibu car wont start

1999 Chevy Malibu 130000 miles

I just purchased a 1999 chevy malibu and I changed the feul pump and put gas in it. Then when I try to start it its like it tries to catch but wont. Any suggestions?

do you have security light blinking
if so its the alarm
leave key on for 10 min
then off and try to start again
check if you have spark
also check fuel pressure
