1999 Chevy Malibu 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my girlfriends 99 chevy malibu died on her yesterday. The car wouldn't start although the radio worked fine and eventually the battery died. Could it be the a bad starter, alternator or battery?

If the battery was still able to engage the starter until it died, chances are it is fine and the alt is fine. WHat I need to know is if the check engine light ever come on? Also, I will need you to fully recharge the battery. At that point, I will need you to check for spark and fuel to the engine. Let me know when you get to that point.
