1998 Chevy Malibu

Replaced the tensioned fine but old belt is on absolute last legs. Have new belt, but can't get belt out, motor mount is in the way, as in inside the belt. Can't see how to remove without hoisting engine. How do I switch the belts? Routing and tension not the question here. Thanks for the help!

You have to support the engine from the oil pan and remove the engine mount to remove the belt. Good luck, any questions let me know

Yes a good jack will work, but becareful of the oil pan, they are some what fragile aluminuim. Try putting a piece of wood between the jack and the pan.
