1998 Chevy Malibu Passenger Side wiper arm broken

How do I gain access to the wiper liinkage on my malibu to see what if any thing is broken, the arm is just dangling in the opening for the passenger side.

You need to remove the cowl cover. There is a couple of bolts and clips. Hard to explain over the net, but the job is pretty easy. Make sure you have the wipers turned of and in the park position
