Hi, my car during the process of warming up makes a skipping or a tapping noise, don't know how to explain better. How ever, it was suggested to me that it might be the oil pump, because it takes the car a good 15 to 20 minutes so that the oil gauge registers at 140 psi. Please help!

Hi there,

the first thing you should do is have the oil pressure tested with a master gauge, this swill give a true indication as to the engine oil pressure, do not rely on the dash gauge as they can be quite inaccurate. do this test first and report back your findings.
