1998 Chevy Malibu Car hesitates

My 98 chevy malibu hesitate when I step on the gas. It seems like it is going to quit. A couple of weeks ago I was driving down the road and the car just quit on me after putting dry gas in the tank and letting it set for a couple of minutes the car started and ran fine. Could my fuel injectors need cleaning or is this another problem?

Test your fuel for water
if dry gas helped indication you had bad fuel or moisture in it
run fuel injector cleaner and dry gas
then fill it with good gas and change fuel filter too
