Engine Performance problem
1998 Chevy Malibu 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My car has been sitting in the impound (stolen) for 3 months. I refilled all the fluids like engine coolant, gas, fuel cleaner, oil, etc. but it only starts and runs for around 3 seconds. Why won't it stay running?

Make sure battery is fully charged
insert key in the ignition and try to start and leave the key in the on position
it will crank start and stall
leave the key in on position for about 11 minutes and or until security light stop blinking and go out
turn key off and try to start if it does drive away if it doesn’t just repeat above
it may take up to 3 times
good luck
