I have a 90 chevy lumina, v6, 3.1 euro the car not the van, 209,000 miles on it. Car normally does not give me problems it was working fine.I went ouside in th emorning to leave and it wouldn't start, it is turning over like it wants to start it just won't catch or something. I had a mechanic look at it, he told me it was the control module, replaced that and it still gives no spark, the starter, battery, fuel pump, fuel filter, timing belt, tensioner, ball joints, axle, radiator, upper and lower hoses, oil sensor, oil cap, water pump, air filter, tires, transmission hoses are all brand new or fairly new, now the control module is new and still no spark. Another mechanic said it is highly unlikely for all coil paks to be working the night before and then all three have no spark in the morning. Please help me figure out what could be wrong, the mechanic also said that normally the crank sensor would give you a problem after the car started so it is probably not that. Is this true as well?

Try to run through and check your wiring for the coil packs. Make sure they are all good. Plz don't take this the wrong way, is there any way a rat or other pest could have eaten a wire on you? It happens. Also try looking through and make sure all your fusible links are good. Some times you can't tell by looks but sometimes you can. It's worth the look. Are you getting fuel? Any check engine light codes? Is it getting spark at ANy of the cylinders? It is unlikely that all your coil packs burned at the same time. Unlikely but not impossible.
