I have a Lumina 1999; 260000km. When I start my car, engine works fine for a few minutes, but it starts getting hot soon. Once the car is very hot, coolant starts leaking with pressure from the frontal part of the engine. During this time, the fan doesn't work & further the thermo-meter doesn't show any car heat-up in its display. Please help.

Okay do this. Take a garden hose and spray it while the engine runs at idle. If it doesn't over heat then u will need to fix the fan 1st. Msg me and we'll go from there

A bit confused. Is it ok to spray water on the engine? What if water falls on some electrical part?.
