The check engine light was on, the car began to cut out, and the fuel efficiency was poor. We had the diagnostic computer check, and the code for a mass airflow sensor came up. We replaced the mass airflow sensor. The check engine light went off and the car ran perfectly for about 4 days. We warranteed out the MAF for a new one, thinking we may have gotten a faulty part. This worked great for about two weeks, when the check engine light came back on and the fuel efficiency is poor again. Is there a problem related to the MAF that is causing the code to come up again? Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks,
Carly

Always change the filter and clean the duct when you do a maf otherwise you could foul the sensor again. These are delicate items. See if you can get one more from the store. If not crc makes a maf cleaner you could try that before shelling out for more parts. But again. Very delicate sensor to mess with
