I am a newbie to this site and a driveway wrench turner.

1999 3800 series Chev Lumina 310,000km. I killed her in a big BIG puddle. She is dead. Now I have the opportunity to purchase a 95 Lumina 3.1 Cheap.
I like that I can switch over the seats, any pannels, lights etc.

I am asking what engine parts I should keep that would be interchangeable.

I belive the ignition coils are the same, I'll keep the battery,
alternator?
water pump?
power steering?
wires?
plugs?
what about brake parts, calipers?
master cylinder?
gas tank?

I am new to this posting questions business but really need the help.
Thanks Mike

Most of what you are asking a parts person would have to answer to be 100% sure. I would dare to say none of the engine parts will interchange because you are dealing with 2 totally different engines. As far as the brakes etc, I would call a parts place and ask about specific parts interchanging. They are probably not going to be all that willing to look each part up though. No sales usually=low interest in helping but every once in a while you will find a helpful individual working at a good parts store.
