1998 Chevy Lumina coolant leaking from evaporator drain tub

1998 Chevy Lumina 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

coolant leak coming from evaporator drain tube on the firewall does the heater core have to be replaced heater blowing cold air not leaking inside the car. Changed thermostat didn't help
car is now over heating. I have to replace the radiator lot of slug in the system can the system be flushed before I put new parts on.

Yes your heater core is leaking into the condensation pan underneathe the dash and comming out of the tube on the wall, If you want to flush, thats fine and then replace the heater core, but depending how big the crack is on the core, when you flush it it may leak inside the car, so maybe that would be taking too much of a risk, just replace it then flush so you dont cause any damage to your interior.
