Air Conditioning problem
1998 Chevy Lumina 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 137, 00 miles

the front (clutch) bearing seems to be bad, making a lot of noise and pulls hard on belt. How do you replace it?

On newer types, go to the junkyard, because aftermarket bearing and pulley will not fit, unless you swap the coil too, pick out a good used compressor, and if yours still works, just swap the pulley. Wont even need to open the system, usually a 8mm screw holds the clutch face on, then a snapring hold the pulley. Be sure you put the snap ring on facing the same way it came off the old one!
