1998 Chevy Lumina

While driving down the road today a black ball fell off from under the car. I think it was the Vacuum Ball. (Don't know if that is the right name for it.) Where can I find a replacement? What does it do and is it really needed?

I believe you are talking about the vacuum resevoir..it is used for part of the HVAC (heating, ventilation and A/C) system's vacuum. Pricing is below for the part found on AutoZone.com .
