1996 Chevy Lumina Wont idle after it heats up

The car runs great but after I drive it for 15-20 minutes and stop. When I start it it won't idle and acts like the gas is being choked off. When it is cool it starts immediately.

Hi:

It sounds like you have a sensor problem. Have you had the computer scanned? If not, take it to a nationally recognized auto parts store like Auto Zone. They will scan it for free.

Let me know what codes, if any, they get, and we'll go from there.

Hi:
Just our luck. The most generic code there is. That leaves us with either a fuel or electrical problem. What I suggest is to have the fuel pressure tested when this happens. Lets see if the pressure drops when it's missing. Also, at that time have them check the ignition.

The test procedure is involved and may require special equipment.

Let me klnow what they find.
