1996 Chevy Lumina what can I do?

My lumina 1996 has the light on for security and after I start the car 3 seconds after turns my car off. What can I do? I took it to a scanner but it does not show the problem. Whenever it turns off I wait and reset after 40 minutes and it lets me drive it.

The first thing that I would try is gettinig a new key if the key has the chip built into it. Or you will need a more advanced scanner to diganose the pass lock system. Could also be the ignition switch itself.
