Engine coolant recently switched to green instead of orange anti freeze. Car will slowly overheat then peg out and overheat light comes on. Antifreeze will go from full to empty at varying speeds. And also every once in a while the engine will bog down when accelerating. Any ideas?

Cooling fans work fine. There was no smoke from tail pipe. But there was gunk on oil stick and level was high. After tearing into it found that it was probably a gasket. There was leakage from the upper manifold gasket. Im in the process of tearing down to that and will keep ya posted
