This may seem like a very strange question but here is what I have been noticing about my car over the last year or so.
The cruise control does not work and my speedometer does not always work. When the speedometer is not working then the air conditioning does not work it will only blow out warm air [not heated air from the heater but the air is not cooled from the air conditioner]. The other strange thing that happens when the speedometer is not working is that the volume on the radio seems to be muffled.
I was told by my mechanic shop that the problem with the speedometer could be related to the cruise control it seems strange to me that when the speedometer is not working that the air conditioner and volume on the radio would be muffled and all of this could be related to the cruise control.
Can you offer any advice or solution to this problem?
I have wondered if maybe the problem is related to the cruise control or speedometer in some way or mabe there is a bad relay swicth or some other kind of electrical problem with my car.
This car runs great and is a very rliable car.
Thanks for any advice you could offer.

Has the car been checked for trouble codes?
If not this should be done.
Also do you have one of those GM radios that raises volume when you speed up?
Let me know

More than likely your cruise control is it's own issue. Cruies control operates on vaccum. If you have a broken or disconnected vaccum line then you'll have no cruise. This doesn't mean that these issues aren't related. Just not likely. The most likely thing is that the last owner did some hack wiring and you MAY be shorting somewhere. Check each of those circuits individually and see if you find a problem.
