I ran low on oil my car shut down on me I tried crank it but then it shut down again I put maybe 3 bottles of oil in because it was very low but then I crunk it and it only stayed crunk for maybe 15 seconds and it sounded like my valves were tapping.

Will the engine start now? If so, is there still engine noise? You may have to wait a second for the lifters to pump back up to quiet; however, there may be other damage.

Let me know what you find.
